The Alexa rank is in the personal assistant, the more open the market-it has already appeared on the soundbars, routers, and even electric ovens. The built-in speakers, with Alexa’s most well-known is the line the Amazon Echo, but other third-party vendors also can develop their own tablets. And Intelbras have decided to venture into this market with the Izy to Speak, is a smart speaker, which is portable, too.
With the same design as the tower of the Amazon Echo, Izy, Speak works on both Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth, as the sound box of the conventional mobile phone. Instead of being attached to a wall outlet, the smart speaker will be brazilian, it has a built-in battery that promises up to four hours of battery life, and allows you to take it with you wherever you go. But is it really good? I’ll tell you everything in this short review.
- What is Alexa rank? (or, better, who is
- What do you do with the Alexa [command]
The analysis of the Intelbras Izy Speak with an Alexa in the video
What is it like?
The deployment of Alexa on Izy’s Speak is the same as what you’ll find on the Amazon Echo. This means that the same commands are available, and, above all, the very same linkages. As the platform of Amazon is very advanced, smart, speaker of the Intelbras, if it makes it a very versatile: you can control all the lights in the house, listening to the recipes, to play a Show in a Million and all that is in the gallery of Science.
Scalability is one of the major advantages of the Alexa, which is in contrast with the Google Assistant, which tends to focus more on the command in the hands of Google. The Alexa has its problems, as several have already pointed out in the review of Amazon Echo, the Show 5, and Amazon’s Echo, the Show’s 8), but you get points for the quick responses and good speech recognition in brazilian Portuguese.
The other point that stands out from Izy to Speak, is a built-in battery with a capacity of 2400 mAh. In my tests with the volume at 50%, listening to music, with streaming on Spotify on Wi-Fi, it lasted for a 4h13min out of the socket, a little longer than the four hours promised by Intelbras.
This is a nifty function, because it opens up new possibilities: I could start listening to a playlist on in the office, and continue in the dining room, for example. Or you can let Izy Speak in the room in order for me to wake up with an alarm the next day, and after listening to a podcast during your morning coffee. And, of course, how does it work in Bluetooth mode, you can listen to music even when you’re away from home, without a Wi-Fi connection close by.
What is not to like?
The design of the Izy Speak of is a weakness, in terms of both the visual and the functional. The plastic housing doesn’t have anything else, destoando of the coatings on the fabric, the lines of the Amazon Echo and Google’s Nest, they are much more beautiful in my living room. Even the format of the product is irregular: he’s trying to be a tank, but it’s flat on one of the edges, where there is a “seam” is visible on the grille of the speaker.
A cover, a means on the clumsy guards the entrance of the sound-standard 3.5 mm (P2), and a Micro-USB cable to charge the battery. This cover, by the way, is unusually large, that is, the impression is that, at some point, the design of the speaker is provided with a USB port to charge other devices.
The location of these connections, it makes a lot of sense: they’re supposed to be at the bottom, to avoid leaving a cable dangling in the air, is visually other. In spite of being a portable, it should be used mainly at home, and in a fixed position, so that harmony is an important point a product of this type.
The sound is also not impressive: it’s not entirely a bad thing, but it is far behind competitors such as the Amazon Echo, a 3rd generation. The built-in speaker-5 watt, are not able to reach the lower frequencies, leaving the audio is a little rich. Also, there is a peak in the unpleasant in the middle, which makes for some of the music and the vocals shrill, which is reinforced with a volume in excess of 60%. An equalizer that you could alleviate the issue, but the app doesn’t had this feature.
In addition to this, there is not enough definition in the introduction: in a few moments there is a look black, as if I were listening to an MP3 of poor quality, especially on music with the most drum kits. In terms of sound pressure level, it reminds me of the Google-Nest-Mini — and-the-Google This Mini, is a speaker, the much smaller and costs half the price, so it’s not a question of the merits of the Izy to Speak.
By the end of the Intelbras I should have invested in an app, the better. The battery is not to be trusted: it was not uncommon to see the gauge at 77%, then 86%, then 81% of the new one… (it was unplugged the entire time.) The integration with the streaming service is inconsistent, some can be accessed straight away, the others are just shortcuts to the application in the official. And in the pursuit of music, he has never returned a result for me….
It’s worth it?
Not so for the majority of the people that you are referring to in this review. The Izy, Speak, was released with a suggested retail price of$ 699, the same as the Amazon Echo, a 3rd generation. In practice, the smart speaker will be from the Intelbras was to be found on deals with values from £ 520 at the time of the publication of this review, which is still not exactly a bargain.
It is true that the Intelbras can hold up to very strong in the country: the products of the brand are to be found in the many shops in the building, and you may already have the equipment for them in your home or building. For this reason, perhaps, the Izy Speak to make a success to be bought and sold in the projects of the connected home, for example. But the public is more familiar with the technology, there is no point to go on the national model.
The Izy’s Speak offers only the very basics. The sound quality is not bad, but far from impressing. The volume level is reasonable, but it does not hold to such high levels as it’s a Bluetooth speaker in the same price range. And at Intelbras, could have added more microphones to enhance speech recognition, in the local noise. The advantage is the portability of it, but it is hard to justify the purchase, considering the other’s weaknesses.
With a price tag, as close to the one practiced by the giants of the technology, the smart speaker will be the brazilian was very much blurred. Who knows, the next time around?
